Tree slice diameter, 20 x 23 Inches, width: Inches. Height: 23 Inches. Table legs: ​2 Inches wide mild steel x 1/8 Inches thick.

The “Flagellum Table” has two main inspirations behind the design; reusing wood waste and bio-mimicry of organic shapes from microbes. The wood slice was reclaimed from Chicago’s Department of Forestry which was cut down from the ash borer beetle epidemic. Non infected wood is cut down often and will go to waste when it is otherwise usable for woodworkers.
